Tired of urban life and seeing skyscrapers every day? You don’t have to travel beyond Singapore to look for a farm experience. Take your kids out for a rustic day out together, and hang out with goats, rabbits, and frogs! Farm visits are great for children to learn about animal and human relationships. We round up the different animal farms in Singapore.

1. Hay Dairies

Hay Dairies, located in Lim Chu Kang, is Singapore’s only goat farm, established in 1988. Home to around 800 goats, including Saanen, Alpine, Toggenburg, and British Alpine breeds, the farm is known for its fresh, nutrient-rich, low-lactose goat milk. Visitors can tour the farm, observe the milking process (which occurs early morning until 10:30 am), feed the goats, and sample fresh goat milk. Hay Dairies also offers goat cheese and goat milk soap, focusing on sustainable farming and high-quality products.

2. Qian Hu Fish Farm

Established in 1992 in northwestern Singapore, Qian Hu Fish Farm is a prominent producer and exporter of ornamental fish, specializing in koi, goldfish, and various tropical species. Boasting over 1,000 ponds and tanks that house a diverse array of fish, including rare and exotic varieties, the farm offers guided tours for visitors to learn about fish farming and purchase ornamental fish. Qian Hu Fish Farm is dedicated to sustainable and responsible practices, earning accolades for its commitment to environmental conservation.

3. Gallop Stable

Gallop Stable Singapore offers horse and pony riding lessons for all ages and experience levels, with both indoor and outdoor arenas. Experienced instructors provide personalized lessons, and the stable also offers horse leasing, and livery services, and hosts events like horse shows and competitions. Open seven days a week and accessible by public transport, Gallop Stable is known for quality riding lessons and horse care in a safe, friendly environment.

4. Jurong Frog Farm (Moving)

6. Mainland Tropical Fish Farm

In this fish farm, children will get to see Arapaima, the largest freshwater fish in the world! Besides that, there are also many different other fishes such as stingrays, red and silver arowanas, huge catfishes, and freshwater prawns. Longkang fishing is available too.

8. Nippon Koi Farm

Nippon Koi Farm Singapore specializes in importing high-quality koi from Japan and distributing them in Singapore and other Southeast Asian countries. They offer pond design, construction, maintenance, and cleaning services, along with organizing events and seminars on koi care and breeding.

9. Live Turtle And Tortoise Museum Singapore 

The Live Turtle And Tortoise Museum in Singapore is a unique attraction dedicated to the preservation and conservation of turtles and tortoises. It houses over 800 turtles and tortoises from more than 50 different species, including rare and endangered ones like the Indian Star Tortoise, Radiated Tortoise, and African Spurred Tortoise. 10. Bee Amazed Garden

BEE AMAZED Garden is a unique visitors’ center located at Kampung Kampus, 91 Lorong Chencharu, Singapore 769201. They offer educational programs, corporate workshops, family activities, honey tasting, environmental talks, and basic beekeeping lessons. These programs can be customized accordingly.

Visitors to BEE AMAZED Garden can learn about local bees, honey, and basic beekeeping practices. A tour of the garden includes an explanation of the history of beekeeping, information about local honey bees, and a visit to the beehives observatory where visitors can safely observe local honey bees without the risk of getting stung.

11. Lian Wah Hang Quail Poultry Farm Singapore

Lian Wah Hang Farm is no longer open to the public. To buy quail eggs from the farm, please visit Uncle William Enterprises at Farmart Centre.

12. Long Kuan Hung Crocodile Farm

Singapore’s remaining crocodile farm is not open to the public. However, you can still visit it through a pre-organized tour via Uncle William’s Crocodile Farm trail.

14. The Animal Resort

The Animal Resort is an excellent venue to introduce children to the charm of the old kampong days and a variety of animals not commonly seen up close.
