There’s an air-conditioned space where you can step into the rabbit enclosure and pet adorably friendly rescue dogs and cats. Since this petting zoo is located within the Singapore Zoo, you’ll have to buy tickets to get in. Here’s all you’ll need to know to plan your trip to the Singapore Zoo with the kids.

2. Hay Dairies Goat Farm in Singapore: See Goats (FREE!)

Get a chance to get up close and friendly with goats at the only goat farm in Singapore, Hay Dairies Goat Farm which has recently relocated! Visitors can see how this goat farm in Singapore operates and take a tour around the premises for free. Try to visit between the hours of 9 am to 10:30 am so that the kids have an opportunity to view the goat milking session at the milking parlor. Buy some alfalfa hay ($5) to feed the goats. To top it off, you can buy fresh goat milk to take home.

If you are heading down to this goat farm in Singapore in a group of 10 or more people, you will need to pre-book your visit online. Groups of 10 people and above will also need to pay an entrance fee to Hay Dairies Goat Farm ($6.42 for the afternoon groups and $9.63 for the morning groups) which will also include an educational farm tour package. This farm tour package includes a bottle of goat milk (per person), a Hay Dairies Goat Farm cotton bag (per person) as well as 1 packet of Alfalfa hay to feed the goats (per 2 people). The morning group will also get the opportunity to view the goat milking session!

3. City Sprouts Urban Farm: Feed Chickens

A farm in the city? City Sprouts rejuvenates urban spaces and brings educational farming practices and tours to us city kids. City Sprouts Henderson is where to head for its signature Little Explorers farm tour (1.5 hours on Saturday & Sunday, hourly from 9 am to 5 pm), where kids will get to explore six different urban farms. There will be lots of hands-on farm activities that include animal feeding (feed ducks, quails, and chickens plus collect eggs), harvesting veggies, catching fish, and more! Enjoy a farm day out as local farmers guide you through an interactive eco excursion where you’ll see, learn, and experience innovative modern-day farming. 4. Viknesh Dairy Farm: Cow Farm in Singapore

Direct farm-fresh milk without preservatives or additives? Now that’s a novelty! Viknesh Dairy Farms (next door to Hay Dairies Singapore goat farm) is a cow farm and local milk supplier rooted in Hinduism values. As with all cow dairy farms in Singapore, there are no farm tours offered. However, you can show up to buy fresh cow’s milk ($6 for 1L) and yogurt ($7 for 1kg). Viknesh Dairy Farm also provides ‘Cow and Calf services’ for House Warmings, Temple Prayers, and auspicious days or occasions like Pongal!

5. Bee Amazed Garden: Bee Farm in Singapore

At Bee Amazed Garden, you’ll get to learn all about bees from basic beekeeping lessons to honey tasting, as well as a visit to the beehives observatory. You’ll get to don beekeeping outfits, handle honeycombs with live bees and learn how to deal with bee stings, and more!

6. Meet Horses: Pony Rides at Gallop Stable

Ok, so this isn’t really an animal farm, but if your kids want to pet ponies and have a pony ride, Gallop Stable is where to go! Take the kiddos (as small as 3 years old) for a short pony ride at Gallop Stable Horsecity (Bukit Timah) or Pasir Ris Park. Pony rides are just $10. There are two sessions of pony rides on weekdays and weekends. Helmets will be provided and all pony rides are fully supervised by trained staff. If your little ones want to get hands-on, book a 45-minute stable experience ($98 before GST), where they can learn how to groom the horse, enjoy a pony ride, feed the pony, and get a private stable tour.
